2025, October 26    

Another month down, complete with increased stress levels (more on that in the next recap) and an ever-continuing lack of sleep. I'd ask myself where all the time went, but frankly it's gone so fast I'm honestly not sure...

On the work front it's full steam ahead, with the year-end getting closer and plenty of projects needing to be wrapped up. Things are getting very interesting from a technical perspective, with a few challenges keeping me busy (including on some of the weekends).

To try and mix things up a little I had the (not-so great) idea of visiting a chain-based Mexican restaurant that was relatively close to my home. Typically I would visit a family-owned restaurant that I've frequented plenty of times, however if you don't try somewhere new you never know what you are missing. As it turned out, I was missing bad food and intestinal distress...

On a lighter note, having a weekend to myself allowed me to pick up some tech projects that I've been ignoring (including setting up a self-hosted Git repository), which made for a productive few hours. Going through the ever-growing list of tech-tasks and actually managing to complete some of them was satisfying, even if I managed to add more on than I took off.

Continuing the tech theme, my Meshtastic environment was finally decommissioned. More details on why in a separate article (which I need to write), but it felt a bit sad closing it down as it never became what I had envisaged.

As for my focus, it's all eyes on September as that will be one of the busiest months of my life (spoilers!).
